10 Top Landscaping Companies in Tucson, Arizona
Explore the 10 best landscaping companies in Tucson, AZ for expert yard care, design, and maintenance
August 24, 2026
By Diego Navarro

Homeowners in Tucson should call a local landscaper who understands desert conditions, native plants, and water-wise design. Hiring one involves a site visit, a clear estimate, and a plan for ongoing care, especially for irrigation and tree health. Choose a company with experience in Tucson’s unique climate and soil challenges.
Tucson yards are a study in survival and adaptation. Here, the sun is not just hot, it is relentless, and the soil ranges from gritty sand to caliche that will turn a shovel back after six inches. Native plants like palo verde and agave hold their ground, but anything else needs a plan for water and protection from both heat and cold snaps.
If you want your yard to make it through a Tucson summer, you need irrigation that does not waste a drop and a design that respects the desert. Homeowners here hire landscapers not just for looks, but for solutions: keeping gravel in place, managing run-off, and making sure a mesquite does not take out the power line the next time a monsoon rolls through.
Who are the best landscaping companies in Tucson?
Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

Losing your landscaper for an acre of manicured property is not a fun experience. Mine looked like a dead person owned it with weeds overthrowing the entire place, trees overgrown, bushes and hedges with no haircuts, and very sad grass. Two days of Kenny & Jerry on the job, and I'm again living in a wonderful resort-like setting, and I'm looking forward to their monthly maintenance to keep it that way. Excellent work. 5 stars!

This was my first time using Augusta Lawn Care. I was impressed from start to finish. When Dakota came to do my estimate he took notes and asked about things I hadn’t mentioned. That was super helpful! Then when we were done he stepped through all the work while making a video for the crew to work from. Can’t get more detailed than that! The bid came in very competitive. I choose Augusta due to Dakota’s professionalism and attention to detail. I felt comfortable the job was going to be done right. When work day 1 came Kenny and Jose were out working on the front yard before I even knew they were here! Hard working men that by day 3 had done a phenomenal job. A neighbor came over complemented my yard and asked who I used. No better reference than their quality work! Highly recommend

This is a long overdue review for Jackson and his crew. They transformed our dirt backyard into our perfect oasis. The photos don’t even do it justice just how wonderful it is (also the finished photo was taken a few days prior to them being 100% finished). They are so easy to work with and are great about coming up with a design together. They even installed our plants we picked out. Jackson and his crew were very friendly, respectful and hardworking. We are so happy to have used Dawn Till Dusk Landscaping and can’t recommend them enough!

We had an amazing experience with Dawn Till Dusk landscaping company! Jackson (the owner) is awesome! From the very beginning, they listened carefully to all of our wants and needs and made the entire process easy and stress-free. They were very communicative throughout the project, completed everything in a timely manner, and completely transformed both our front yard and backyard. The crew was friendly, professional, and incredibly hard-working. We are beyond happy with how everything turned out and truly love our new outdoor space. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality landscaping work!

Dawn Till Dusk Landscaping team members provided outstanding service to my backyard. They removed over 800 sqft of rocks and laid down 60 % brown natural mulch and 40% cedar mulch as a top layer for pests as well to improve heavy Tucson soil. They leaf blowed, swept, and picked up trash as well as leaves in the yard. Jackson’s team members worked very hard, communicated well, and left the yard clean after the work. Dawn Till Dusk Landscaping provides fair pricing with amazing yard services. Thank you Jackson and your team for your work! A++++++++

Seth Hamilton from Joe’s Yard, Tree, and Irrigation came out to prune and trim a tree and some bushes that have been sorely neglected. Seth was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer any questions that I had and advised me of possible problems regarding watering (lack of or too much). He was very professional and courteous. He did a wonderful job on my property.

I chose to work with Santa Rita after Matt came out and gave me an estimate. He was amazing throughout the process, envisioning the project and flexible when I wanted to add a few things. He stayed on top of the crew and made sure everything was excellent. They installed a drip system, plants and decomposed granite. Many many thanks to Matt, I’d highly recommend them!

Alan & the guys at Oakswood Turf & Hardscape did an outstanding job on our backyard! From start to finish, their team was extremely responsive, professional, and efficient. They were able to turned our backyard vision into reality; turf, fire pit paver pad, and pergola paver pad with pergola build and installation. This was all completed with quality work at a very fair price. I would absolutely recommend Oakswood to anyone looking for a backyard transformation, and I look forward to working with them again on future projects!

I came across Oakswood Turf & Hardscape on Instagram and I instantly loved the results of their work. Receiving a quote was super easy and the process afterwards was a breeze. I had a vision of what we wanted our backyard to look it and they exceeded our expectations. We customized a back planter/seating area and the finished product was our favorite part of our yard. Jose was great at listening to what we wanted and his team worked hard to get the job done. Reasonable pricing and quality work. Highly recommend!
Krystal Miranda, 4 months ago
We are very excited about our new back yard! They were very transparent with pricing, material and with the contract. They even installed a screen over one of our windows due to the reflection of the sun potentially burning the turf over time. The crew worked nonstop through the heat and cleaned up after themselves. Definitely recommend for any project you are looking to get done.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with BB Hill Landscaping. Bryan, our Arbor Care Manager, is amazing—he is always quick to respond and often arrives the same day to take care of any issues that arise. His dedication and reliability truly make a difference. Stephen is also fantastic. He consistently comes by the day before our scheduled maintenance to review what needs to be completed and checks in with the office or maintenance crew to see if there’s anything additional that needs attention. That level of communication and preparation is greatly appreciated. Christian goes above and beyond for all of the properties. He is always willing to help with resident and manager events and even donates water during our water drives, which means a lot to the community. We can’t say enough wonderful things about BB Hill Landscaping. Their team is professional, responsive, and genuinely cares about the communities they serve!

Warning! This truck was driving dangerously in Vail on 3/26/26. They were going 25 under the speed limit and anytime someone tried to pass they would speed up so people couldn't get around them. They were also driving over the line and would have to correct multiple times. I hope they weren't drunk driving, maybe distracted driving at best. I would not trust them to landscape your yard if this is how they act on the road!

I would like to give a shout out to a specific person. Mekiah is the supervisor responsible for our HOA property. I absolutely have to give a well-deserved show of respect to this man. Not only does he do an incredible job, he is patient, professional and will explain things to us so we understand (that can take a few times). We are very lucky to have him and I would like him to know how much we really appreciate not only what he does, but how he does it....thank you Mekiah for EVERYTHING.
Laura Hettiger, 2 months ago
Our HOA recently changed landscape companies, and we are very pleased with our decision to hire Complete Landscaping. From the beginning, their team has followed through on everything they said they would do. They are very responsive to requests and quick to address any questions or concerns. What stands out the most is their willingness to go the extra mile to make sure we are happy with the results. It’s refreshing to work with a company that is professional, reliable, and truly committed to great service. We look forward to continuing to work with them.

The houses landscaping hadn’t been maintained in several years and the back required new drains to alleviate a water runoff problem. Jason worked to determine the extent of cutting back existing foliage, creating the new drains and then planting Arizona native plants. The team lead Steve was great to work with. He made sure to keep us informed on progress daily and made sure that we were in agreement with what they were doing. Great customer service. They also completed the project ahead of schedule. We highly recommend.

We bought a new construction home in sahuarita and the builders had hired them to put in all the rock, plants and irrigation for the subdivision. We then hired them for a large pavers patio, walkway , drain pipe and 2 foot of pavers on each side of the driveway. Derek was great to work with as well as his onsite manager and crew. They were very knowledgable, professional and fast. They did an amazing job. We are very happy with everything. And highly recommend desert Valley landscaping

What customers say:
I have had such terrible luck working with contractors of any type, so Centurion Landscaping was a breath of fresh air! They were on time, did exactly what I asked them to do, and the results were amazing! They redid my rock drainage, replaced my yard front and back, correcte d my grading, removed old bushes and replanted, and replaced my sprinkler system. The workers were pleasant, professional and worked with a smile. Costs were reasonable and stated upfront. I would highly recommend!
Tammy P, 4 months ago
I had a great experience with Centurion landscaping from start to finish. When I first called, they took the time to really listen and triage what was going on with my yard, asking thoughtful questions and quickly identifying the likely issues. They gave me a fast and very fair estimate, which I really appreciated. Even more impressive, they were able to come out the very next day. The work was done efficiently and professionally, and they clearly take pride in what they do. They also guaranteed their work, which gave me a lot of confidence. One thing that really stood out was that they took the time to teach me how to properly use my irrigation system so I could take better care of the yard moving forward. That level of helpfulness and customer care is rare. Highly recommend this business if you want someone who is knowledgeable, responsive, fair, and genuinely cares about helping their customers.

I submitted an online form Saturday night not expecting to hear anything until Monday, but within minutes received a text from Raoul asking when he could come take a look at my property. We met the next morning and the work started Monday. Raoul clearly described how he would tackle the massive cleanup project, including the removal of several dying trees and invasive plants, and the pruning of all other trees on my property to ensure better health. Before they got started, Raoul introduced the crew. I’ve never experienced a more friendly group of guys with other companies I’ve hired for these types of projects. The Centurion team was professional, efficient, great communicators and delivered better results than I expected at a fair price. My neighbors have even commented on how great everything looks. Centurion will be my only company for landscaping needs in the future. Thanks Raoul!

How do you choose a landscaper in Tucson?
Hiring a landscaper in Tucson is not just about picking the lowest price. You want someone who knows how to work with desert-adapted plants, can handle irrigation systems, and is used to the local soil, whether it is rocky, sandy, or just plain stubborn. Ask if they use native or drought-tolerant plants, and if they can show you yards they have kept alive through a Tucson summer. For hardscape, make sure they understand how to set pavers or stone on shifting ground, and for tree care, check if they have an arborist on staff, especially for saguaro or mesquite.
Compare landscapers by experience, communication, and local know-how. The table below can help you sort what matters:
| Factor | Why It Matters in Tucson | What to Ask |
|---|---|---|
| Desert Plant Knowledge | Native plants survive, imports struggle | What plants do you recommend? |
| Irrigation Expertise | Water is expensive and scarce | Can you design/repair drip? |
| Hardscape Experience | Soil shifts, monsoons flood | How do you set patios/paths? |
| Tree and Cactus Care | Some trees are protected, cacti are tricky | Do you have an arborist? |
| Communication | Projects need updates, not surprises | How do you keep clients informed? |
A good landscaper will walk your yard, talk through your goals, and give you a plan that fits Tucson’s climate, not just a price.
