We recently had Quiet Village Landscaping redesign and install our landscaping, trees, and shrubs, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Ethan was great to work with throughout the project. He took the time to understand what we were looking for, came up with a design that fit our home well, and was available for any last minute questions during the installation. The installation crew, Wayne, Sebastian, and Jose C., did an excellent job. They worked hard, answered questions when we had them, and were clearly invested in making sure everything was done right. We called on Timberline Landscapes to rework our front and side yards this past summer. Margo Kinstler did a fantastic job of providing multiple detailed designs for the space. Margo exhibited patience and provided wonderful suggestions in helping us to decide exactly what we wanted in our landscaping. We ultimately decided to replace all of our existing landscaping with a new and fresh look, including wired accent lighting along the front pathway. Both Harrison and Errion worked tirelessly to remove the existing landscaping and to bring the new plans to life. Gomez Landscaping & Tree Service did an outstanding job! They expertly removed a dead tree in my backyard, trimmed numerous large overhanging branches from my lawn, and cut back the trees that were touching the east side of my house. They even went the extra mile by fixing a gutter guard I had accidentally misaligned while rescuing a small bird months earlier. Not only did they do a good job, they did a great job! Nick was easy to work with and his crew did a stellar job. We had them out to do our leaf cleanup this fall. I was so impressed that we called them again for spring flowerbed cleanup and mulching. Greater than Five stars plus +++. I called in several of the top names in hardscaping in St Louis, and it was all about them. They all wanted an upfront deposit months in advance and without giving a firm start date. What was further annoying was that they all indicated that any damage to sprinkler system was not their responsibility nor the lawn damage, saying they would spread seed as the solution to a beautiful lawn. Joe the owner of Excel, is all about the customer. He was incredibly responsive, gave us a firm start date which he met, and you can see from the picture installed a beautiful patio for us. All the other companies indicated a week of disruption, where Excel completed the work in two days and throughout the process Joe was communicating all aspects of project and making sure we were aware of any potential issues to iron out before completion. When the patio was completed, Joe was not happy with the way the pavers looked, and unsolicited from us, he put on a sealer which brought out the color as shown in the magazine and better than the samples. That was a great example of how much he cares about the work he completes. Today, too many companies forget about the customer and who is paying the freight. The Fresh Start Outdoors team is top notch!! When looking for a company to do some long overdue seasonal maintenance, Tony was the only person that came out in person to assess the project, most other companies simply gave me a quote that left me both confused and unsupported. When Tony visited, we were able to talk through the scope of project and he also gave me valuable insight on my yard I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Once completed, the quote was incredibly thorough and clear, with each photo annotated with the tasks discussed. These guys just finished my "backyard makeover" project and I couldn't be more pleased. They built a stone retaining wall and stone steps from our back door down into the yard. They worked with a good concrete contractor who replaced my sidewalks. They also worked with a good tree service company that ground down a number of stumps I had, including one from a 48-inch-diameter pin oak. They graded and sodded everything to perfection. Once you've decided to enhance what you live with everyday we highly recommend you hire Steve Allen and his team at Allen Outdoor Solutions for their expertise. Four years ago we decided to take the plunge - Sod & Irrigation system, in addition we have Steve's team do the necessary fertilization and aerating and overseeding in the fall. Todd-the owner, Jeremy-our designer, and all of the guys who have worked on our projects have been great to work with. We highly recommend them! Just had landscaping done in my backyard, around my shed, and on the side of the house. We had railroad ties that were falling apart and needed to be replaced.
