Michael Gurtler (Senior Project Designer) - Must use for all Landscape / Paving Needs Responsive, honest, professional, adaptable to our wants and needs - could not ask for a better Project Designer from design to execution. Our backyard landscape was hard to access and on a slope, Mike and his team delivered beyond expectations. When extenuating events occurred (e.g., discovering a massive trunk under the dirt, third-party delivery truck stalling in neighborhood street, etc.), Mike immediately took action and addressed the issues to ensure project remained within reasonable timelines and within agreed budget. Furthermore, when we decided to pivot from original project plan, Mike was very receptive and easy to work with. Will definitely use Mike for future landscaping and paving needs! We chose Stones Landscaping after visiting a site which they were landscaping a project similar to what we were looking for. We waited to do this review for a year to ensure that the project held up as expected and Stones was responsive to any issues after the project was completed (which they were). Stones did a complete landscaping project for our large backyard which included a retaining wall, stone walkways, river rock, plants, new drainage and artificial turf. Overall we are happy with their services as they were on time, their staff was polite, and they kept to the schedule and were accommodating of our change orders. They even came out on a holiday to deliver materials to keep the project on schedule. The staff was very nice and easy to work with. Emilio (the foreman) was very helpful in all aspects of the project and answered all questions and was very patient with all of our questions. We recently hired D & I Landscape for a major overhaul of our yard, and we couldn't be happier with the results! Irvin and his team were professional, thorough, and completed the entire project on schedule. They handled everything including a full yard cleanup, stump removal and installation of about 50 feet of beautiful redwood fencing and a matching gate. In addition, they also did an incredible job with the hardscaping, including a river rock path with steel edging. In the backyard, we removed our pool, and Brian and his team installed turf, laid pavers, and built both an outdoor gym and a cooking bar. Brian and his crew were amazing to work this! We have a large corner lot that was grass-laden and tired. We had a landscape plan that Brian executed beautifully! We had a lot of tree roots that had to be excavated before they could even begin working. He still came in on budget and a week and a half earlier than anticipated. The scope of work included building out our front porch, creating two large planters, creating many concrete pads/walkways, building a fence on the corner, installing the base for our water fountain, hard scraping, artificial turf, water irrigation, new plants, and outdoor lighting. We added on the brick work by the front door at the last minute and Brian was amazing in the decision making process, assisting me when I was having a hard time making a decision. We worked well together and we would not hesitate to work with him again. Evy did a good job managing this project. My yard is now looking neat, clean, and without weed. They removed weed, compacted the ground, laid weed fabrics, and putted decorative pebbles (3/8 quartz). They finished the job in one day and in a heated day. So I appreciated the hard work. On top of that, I mentioned there are a few spots that look a little thin. OVERPRICED. They charged 100% more on grass higher than 9inches. I repeat 100% additional charge. My service was 52$ a month. Each time they come out would be over 100+. TOO EXPENSIVE. It's just mowing the lawn guys, not that hard. The pro was fine and the service he provided was fine, except he mowed the wrong lawn before i stopped him. I made peace with my neighbor after, but It's just mowing the lawn, guys. 100+ is super over priced. DO NOT DO IT guys.
