Top 10 Landscaping Companies in Lincoln, Nebraska
Find the best landscaping companies in Lincoln, Nebraska for lawns, patios, and outdoor projects
September 11, 2026
By Diego Navarro

Homeowners in Lincoln, Nebraska should call a local landscaping company for help with lawns, beds, patios, or landscape design. Hiring a pro means getting someone who knows the local soil, climate, and weeds. The right company will keep your yard looking good through hot summers, heavy rains, and cold winters. Choose carefully for long-term results.
Lincoln, Nebraska sits in the middle of the prairie, with weather that swings from humid summers to freezing winters. The soil here is mostly silty clay loam, which means lawns can get soggy in spring and bake hard in late summer. If you want a yard that looks good in August and comes back strong in April, you need a landscaper who understands the local ground and the way weather works here.
A lot of folks in Lincoln deal with weeds that creep in from the fields, grass that browns out in the heat, and drainage that can turn a side yard into a mud pit. Whether you’re after a lush lawn, a new patio, or just someone to keep the beds tidy, a good local landscaper can save you time and headaches. This list covers the top-rated companies serving Lincoln homeowners right now.
Who are the best landscaping companies in Lincoln?
Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

cut my plants right in front of a don't cut sign, disrespectful, ruined my day. obviously not a weed. left other weeds intact nearby. it was like this was intentional. they cut off the top then went back for more. worst day of my life. I will never recover from this

My lawn looks amazing thanks to the treatments by Summit. I just had my core aeration performed today, after a few weather delays, and the young man, Finn, was completely professional, polite and thorough. Highly recommend.
Jim Morrison, 11 months ago
We’ve used Summit for our lawn care for 5 or 6 years now, and we’ll continue to use them. In addition to a top notch service, they are friendly and always approachable. They throw a ball for dogs when they are out, and always happy to say hello. Henry and Nicholas have worked on our yard for a couple of years and are nothing short of phenomenal, highly recommend, I’d give them 6 stars if possible!

Yardworx gets the job done week in and week out a SGYC. Justin, Mario and Angel always come consistently ready to work and on time. The crew provides me as a customer peace of mind by being knowledgeable and flexible when it comes to what needs to be done each week. This crew always delivers a great finished product and leaves no mess behind. They also communicate effectively and respond in an efficient manner with any of the services that they provide.

Spring and 2026 Josh and his crew completed all spring maintenance and got our lawn and flower beds off to a good start. Dark green grass, and blooming flowers makes for a beautiful picture. We have had Josh and his crew work for us the last 9 years, for the warmer and colder months of the year. It feels great that in our 70's we have our lawn work and winter shoveling taken care for a very reasonable price by a reputable company that take pride in their work. If anything out of the ordinary happens Josh and his crew are a phone call away. They also started all lawn services, such as fertilizing, mosquito spraying, tick spray, pest control, coring and over-seeding.

Yardworx has been servicing our Fallbrook location which include the HOA, Town Center, the park and the rest of Fallbrook business. They do amazing work. Josh and his team are a fantastic group of guys. They do all of our turf management from mowing, aerating, fertilizing, spraying, and our snow removal. Fallbrook has always looked amazing since they took it over years ago. They take pride in the work they do. They stay ahead of the thistle and if I ever need anything done, I call Brent and he gets out there as soon as possible to help me out. Brent goes above and beyond for his clients including all of the Yardworx crew does and the work they provide shows true craftsmanship. I got to give a shoutout to Justin as well for the pride he takes in Fallbrook, he acts as another set of eyes for our properties and makes me aware of any sprinkler leaks, valves stuck, any low spots, or anything that needs addressed to keep our turf looking amazing. Highly recommend Yardworx for residential and commercial property management for the quality of work they provide us.

I am the secretary of a 78 home HOA. We were very lucky to find Lawn Masters. We had been looking for bids, and Lawn Masters fit our needs and price point. Brayden responds promptly to any text or email that our Board sends. We so appreciate the communication, especially since we can share information and updates with our members. Our Board also gets updates regarding when chemicals will be used. That is very important for children and pets. Brayden and his crew are polite, kind, and friendly. The crew mows at an optimal speed which is great as our HOA has uneven terrain. 98% of our HOA has expressed how great our lawns look this year.

They did a great job! They were able to fit us on the schedule the next day! Communication is outstanding, I feel like they are great at explaining everything and very reasonably priced! We are debating if it’s worth it to even fix our mower with as great as these guys have been.

We are very happy with our landscaping project! I would highly recommend Luxury Landscape to anyone looking to complete a landscaping project. We understood that there would be a wait to get the job done, but that’s to be expected when you’re booking a quality outfit. It has been a few weeks since installation and everything is doing well and prospering. The install crew did a great job and left everything looking great! The office staff was equally great, very professional and responsive to our questions. Overall, this was a top notch experience and we could not be happier with the end result.
East Lincoln Wes, 11 months ago
I could not recommend Luxury Landscape highly enough! Jackie and Ken were INCREDIBLE GUIDES on our landscaping journey. I live far away from their team, but they still tackled the project from afar. They took the image of our home’s front landscape and totally reimagined it. From there, what initially felt like an overwhelming project, quickly became doable, broken down step-by-step. We celebrated every step of the way, and if I hit any troubles, Ken and Jackie were a phone call away. If you want to create a next level landscape, don’t hesitate. Call Luxury Landscape asap!
Lindsey Rago, 11 months ago
We did not have a good experience with Ken and Jackie. It's been a year since we signed our contract and made the down payment and our project remains unfinished. When the office manager would respond to our repeated requests for an update, we were told we were 'next on the list' or 'hopefully next week' and then nothing. They did finally make it out in December and completed roughly half of our project. We have not been able to get them back out this spring or summer so we have terminated our contract with them and are going with another company. Very disappointing.

Rain, Sun and Us Landscaping is the ONLY landscaping company to consider! Professional, friendly and knowledgeable are just a few ways to describe them. We needed a full removal and cleanup of old plants and bushes, design for new landscaping and installations of the new design. From beginning to end the communication was spectacular and always on time. The pricing was great but most importantly - the finished job was better than I imagined. I will never use anybody else.

The work was completed within the timeframe they originally provided, with only minor scheduling adjustments that were communicated in advance. Everything that needed to be done was completed well, and any small adjustments along the way were accomodated and handled professionally. I hired Batenhorst from 1200 miles away to take care of my Mom's yard after the loss of our family patriarch last year. I could not feel more satisfied that not only does she not have to mow her own yard but she has the nicest looking cut grass on her block. Batemhorst does excellent work. I recommend.

What customers say:
We recently moved and had always used another landscaping company in southwest Lincoln. Now that we’re in southeast Lincoln, we discovered a hidden gem, Yankee Hill Landscaping! This family-run business has everything you could need, excellent customer service, and very reasonable prices. They had the perfect river rock and flagstone for the backyard pathway we were building, and the pricing was hard to beat. What really impressed us was Tammy’s expertise. She estimated exactly how much river rock we would need, and she was spot on. That saved us both time and money. This has quickly become our new favorite landscaping center in Lincoln. And as an added bonus, my wife is thrilled that they also have a beautiful nursery. We highly recommend checking them out!
Jeff Harford, 2 months ago
Whoever we talked to over the phone is 5/5. The driver that delivered our load today was 1 star. I know the person that answered the phone said that is was up to driver to where they drop the load. Today the driver dropped it in our driveway instead of down another driveway due to being too small. However, same type of truck has delivered gravel, Home Depot has delivered back there, the previous home owner had 6 trailers back there, and we also had a concrete truck back there. This guy said it was too small and said he doesn’t get pain enough. Really irritated.
Curtis Fletcher, 6 months ago
We are so pleased with all Yankee Hill accomplished for us. They came quickly to get us an estimate, and provided multiple pricing options. We asked them to help us come up with a good idea for landscaping our front and backyard, they laid rock, planted trees, and picked out some beautiful plants for our home. We're grateful that they pointed out issues with the grading around our house, and worked to make sure there were few possibilities for future problems. They were professional, easy to get a hold of, and good at their jobs, and even stayed on page with others working on our house. I highly recommend them.

What customers say:
On 4/9/24 I met with Darrell from Lincoln Landscaping for a consultation about ideas for a large pollinator garden. The most important request I had, was that I ONLY wanted grays, whites, charcoals, blacks, for the rocks & edging, to coincide with our existing landscaping & house colors, absolutely no browns. Darrell assured me 'that will not be a problem'. He emailed me my initial estimate with his ideas, we made several changes, then planned to move fwd, he said it may be 4-6 wks until they could get started. Approx 8 wks later I got notification they were going to start the project, they arrived 6/17/24. The first couple of days, things were looking good! It was very hot, I felt bad for the landscapers, so I made sure to have a cooler full of Gatorade's & water every day. On the 2nd day I gave each of them a $50 bill as a token of my appreciation for their hard work. I believe they finished up on day 3, I was at work. When I got home I was super excited to see the final result. I walked down to the garden & immediately noticed that the boulders they brought in, were mostly brown, as well as the flagstone, not anywhere near the grays/charcoals that I requested. The plants appeared like they were quickly thrown in the ground, most of them having mulch on top of them, many of the stalks/plants were broke, & all 3 of my goldenrods were planted at an angle, it looked awful! I contacted Darrell, so he came out to look... (by this time 2 of my 3 yarrow plants were nearly dead as well as 1 goldenrod), I showed him my concerns & let him know I was a little frustrated bc this project was close to $10K & I had better hopes. He reassured me they would replace the plants & it would not count towards my 1 year warranty. It was also at this time that he decided to tell me that unfortunately they can't 'guarantee' rock colors since they are 'natural' & that a lot of them are browns, which is absolutely NOT what he told me during the consultation. If this was not something they could not fulfill, he should have never made it seem that way, or at the very least he could have showed me, before putting them in the bed. Fast fwd a couple wks after this, my plants never got replaced, I sent pics to Darrell on 6/27/24 showing him how sad they looked, of which he just said they were in 'shock' & more than likely will come out of it. At some point he contacted another one of their employees Ed who then emailed me on 9/16/24 to say they would be over later this same day to replace the plants. I had NO forewarning, & was actually at the hospital dealing with a family emergency, so I emailed Ed back & asked if we could postpone to the following Monday...never got a reply, so I emailed him again 3 days later on 9/19/24, he replied stating he amended the replacement list and that 'we will get over on a Monday as soon as we had brought these plants in' (verbatim)...that was nearly 8 wks ago, as of writing this it is 11/11/24 and I haven't heard a word from them. I saved a lot of hard earned money for this project and was trying to be so careful with who I decided to go with. I had a good feeling about Darrell & the company as a whole, they seemed reputable. If you read over their web page it specifically states 'if youre not happy, then neither are we', 'If we make a mistake, we make it right in a timely manner'. Sadly, those words can't be farther from the truth. I have had to spend a lot of extra time, energy, phone calls, emails etc just to get what I paid for, yet they still have not fixed the issues. I caution anyone seeking landscaping services to do your research. There are a ton of local companies around here that want to do right by you, there are a lot of new, eager people who would love to have your business. Lincoln landscaping seems to have way too many other projects going on, & are not concerned with fixing their errors. I spent a lot of money, only to look at a garden all summer long with many dead plants & brown stones. Words will never express my disappointment and frustration that has come along this whole process.

I'm not one to leave reviews -- in fact, this is my first. Representative came out to provide us a quote for some soil grading away from our foundation on an area approximately 15x4 feet. His first comment: "is this it?" Giving me the impression this job wasn't worth his time and he continued to act that way during our entire interaction. I asked a couple questions (he provided very little insight or input) regarding how/why he wanted to grade the soil the way he suggested and he responded that he would simply refuse the job. I was somewhat shocked as I've never had a contractor act this way and I've dealt with many contractors over decades with no issues. I told him to provide me a proposal, but he didn't ask for any contact information to provide one. My guess is our job wasn't big enough for him, and he acted accordingly. No thanks on this company.

My grandmother contracted Lincoln landscaping for a retaining wall removal of trees and re-landscaping an area with some bushes. There were some discrepancies in the beginning. Lincoln landscaping stepped up going beyond expectations to make sure that my grandmother was happy with their products design and work. We are very happy with the retaining wall and Re-landscaped areas!

How do you choose a landscaper in Lincoln?
Choosing a landscaper in Lincoln starts with knowing what you want done, and what your yard needs. Some companies focus on weekly mowing and basic upkeep, while others handle full landscape design, hardscaping, or drainage fixes. Ask about experience with local soils and plants, and look for clear communication and a track record of showing up when they say they will. If you’re planning a bigger project, check that they handle permits and know city codes. Always get a written estimate and ask what’s included.
| Feature | Lawn Care Only | Full Landscape Design | Hardscaping/Patios |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mowing/Edging | Yes | Yes | No |
| Planting Beds | Maybe | Yes | Maybe |
| Patio/Path Install | No | Maybe | Yes |
| Drainage Solutions | Maybe | Yes | Yes |
| Seasonal Cleanup | Yes | Yes | Maybe |
Check reviews, ask your neighbors, and don’t be afraid to walk the job with the crew leader before work starts. The right fit will be honest about what your yard needs and what it doesn’t.
