Tyler and team at McShane Landscaping did a fantastic job with our front yard new sod installation of Zoysia grass and flower beds makeover tearing out the previous brick border that was coming apart in areas to extending the bed coverage and giving shape for better appeal with new pavers installed to line the beds. We had a great experience with Jesus Landscaping & Construction and are extremely happy with how our backyard turned out. Our first project was a pretty substantial one. They removed our old railroad-tie retaining wall and replaced it with a beautiful new block retaining wall, installed a French drain running from the patio toward the alley and connected our downspouts to it, removed an old concrete slab and metal pergola, replaced a flagstone area with a new concrete pad, capped the sprinkler head that had been in that area, and installed new St. Augustine sod where the demolition had been done. We were so happy with their work that the very next day after the first project was completed, we hired them again to do the rest of our backyard. For the second project, they prepared and leveled the remaining yard with topsoil, installed three more pallets of St. Augustine Palmetto sod, and added and positioned sprinkler heads so that the new grass would have proper coverage. Pablo, Cristina, and the crew were professional and responsive throughout the process. Communication was great, they were easy to work with, and we felt their pricing was very fair for the amount of work involved. Most importantly, we are really happy with the finished result. Our backyard looks completely different and so much better than it did before. This is one of the shadiest businesses I have ever encountered. I went to J&L Grass Co. With my girlfriend, who was doing business with the company. My girlfriend had received a bad customer experience with them. When she went there 3 times & during that time she was accused of passing a fake $20 by employee J.J., he then to proceed to give her extremely slow service that made her late to pickup her son from school & he was angered that she tracked the office floor on a rainy day. When she came back to find out about a proposed settlement offer from Crystal, the manager, all that she do was to say that she was sorry. My girlfriend bought grass on 2 previous trips. Crystal disclosed for about $35 more she could bought a pallet, nearly double the grass. When My girlfriend proposed to Crystal a resolution of allowing her to charge her for a pallet & give her the additional 90 pieces of grass. Crystal said she that she would have to get with her boss. After waiting for almost two weeks, I accompanied my girlfriend to talk to Crystal. She acted like she was surprised that her boss, her father, Everett Jones, had not called her back. Crystal asked my girlfriend for number, again. Mr Jones , the boss & owner, called her. He said that wasn't possible because he would lose money. We didn't understand how. In every way this transaction occurred he makes a profit. When my girlfriend told him that only allowed her as her last resort was to complain. He said she should not do that, being the Unchristian thing to do. If he was a Christian, he would have provided the difference in grass instead of trying to swindle her. Truly, he and his store's business practices the criminals of the day.

When they say they’ll have grass ready for you - they mean it. I called on a Thursday afternoon and he got 2 pallets of special order pallets added to his load for Friday morning. I came Friday morning and it was sitting there waiting on me. Nice thick cut, super fresh sod. Even the top layer of the pallet was nice and fresh and not dried out. Will definitely be going back next time I need sod.

I took three bids for the project and decided to go with Brothers because they offered the most for the best value. Jose and his father came over to make an estimate, and together with my wife, we devised the plan. They walked us through many options and offered some really solid ideas, many of which we incorporated. They took less than a week to complete the project and worked really hard to complete everything in detail and on time. I am thrilled with the outcome and now I enjoy a beautiful and low-maintenance back yard. It really came out better than I had envisioned and I am a very satisfied customer, as they really paid attention to detail. Jose was very good at being present and communicating daily. I really wanted to be happy with our service because Josh was quick and nice. Unfortunately, he didn’t uphold his part of the deal. He told me that removal and haul away was included. He has now left a huge pile of branches and debris. After messaging him about it multiple times, he said it would cost him $200 and then stopped replying. Now IM being quoted $400-$600 to have it all removed. I would have not gotten one of our trees removed if I knew I would also have to pay for this, but he said it was included. Very upsetting.

We used J's services last year to trim our trees and were very pleased. It made such a huge difference in our curb-appeal. J accommodated us into his busy schedule and was very quick. He was also affordable. We unfortunately forgot to take "before" and "after" pictures, but the trees still look great after all these months! Of course emergencies happen on a weekend. My sprinklers would not turn off. I called Lux, and Chance patiently walked us through how to shut off the system underground. Talk about a huge relief from a friendly guy while we were stressing. Come Monday, we had Adrian out to repair the issue. He did a great and thorough job. He walked us step by step as he found and fixed the issues. We like that there is a 90 day warranty, and the overall bill was affordable. That helped ease our mind during this uncertainty with the pandemic. I like the integrity of this company. Please don’t ever change.
