Top 10 Landscaping Companies in Fayetteville, North Carolina
Compare 10 Fayetteville landscaping companies and learn what to check before hiring for lawn care, planting, drainage or hardscaping
October 1, 2026
By Diego Navarro

A Fayetteville homeowner should choose a listed local landscaper whose services match the job, whether that is mowing, planting, irrigation, tree work or hardscaping. Hiring one means reviewing the scope, checking insurance, confirming cleanup and agreeing on timing, materials, watering and maintenance before work begins.
Fayetteville gets hot, humid summers, mild winters and stormy stretches that can leave lawns soggy one week and stressed the next. Warm-season grasses such as bermudagrass, centipedegrass and zoysiagrass need different mowing and feeding plans, so a real plan beats a calendar reminder.
Many yards sit in sandy, acidic soil, with clay pockets and compacted areas around newer construction. Water can run through sand too quickly or sit on clay, and pine roots, shade and pine straw create their own small arguments.
Ask how the company handles drainage, weeds, irrigation and storm cleanup before discussing ornamental plants. A low spot that keeps drowning the grass is not asking for more fertilizer. It is asking for a shovel and a better outlet.
Who are the best landscaping companies in Fayetteville?
Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

Green Biz did a great job repairing and adjusting our home irrigation system. The estimator was Brian, the Foreman for the crew was Crecensio and his techs were Jose and Carlos. All made it easy, às always.

I recently had a landscaping project completed by GreenBiz, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. I initially reached out to another well-known company in town, but the interaction left me hesitant due to a lack of friendliness and professionalism. Calling GreenBiz, however, was a completely different experience—a true breath of fresh air. Their office staff was welcoming, professional, and made scheduling incredibly easy. They even had an earlier opening and proactively called to move my consultation up by a week, which I really appreciated. Brian came out to assess the project and was fantastic to work with. He had a great vision for the design, maintained a laid-back and approachable demeanor, and was very patient in answering all of my questions. He also collaborated with me on plant selection to ensure the final result matched exactly what I was hoping for. Alphonso and his crew handled the installation, and they were equally impressive. They were polite, professional, and took great care to keep the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day. It’s clear they take pride in both their work and their representation of the company. I highly recommend GreenBiz to anyone who values working with kind, organized professionals who deliver top-notch results.

Superlative service from estimate to install of my new trees! Everyone was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and were unfailingly professional and friendly! Shout outs to Bond the foreman and Fredrick one of the installers for the extra time in explaining how to care for my new trees, to Melissa and Becca in the office for their excellent communication and to Taylor who helped me select the best options for my project! Will definitely be calling them again!

I’m beyond impressed with the lawn care service I received! The team showed up on time, worked hard, and paid close attention to every detail. The transformation was incredible my yard looks brand new! You can tell they take real pride in their work. Highly recommend for anyone needing top-notch, reliable lawn care.

Cannot say enough good things about these guys! They came out to collect a pile of leaves for us and we asked for a quote for the whole yard. They stayed and did the whole thing on the spot. Nice crew, reasonable price, great service! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of lawn care.

Wow. I wish I had known about H&H sooner! First time customer and completely satisfied. My neighbor asked for a reference as soon as they left to use them! They had a thorough system in place for accurate and prompt quotes. They provided pictures before and after as well as clear and concise communication thru the entire process. I had chose the wrong date for desired completion but they were able to accommodate their schedule for me! I am grateful for their service and will be using them in the future!

Getting services set up was quick and easy, got to talk to a human every step of the way, price is reasonable, and my yard looks great. Have had two services so far and im very happy with the work done. Especially grateful they took heed when I warned about not getting too close to our young trees.

I hired Zach and Arrow-Lawn-Care to install a ton of mulch in the front and back of my house. Zach and his guys did a fantastic job, worked nonstop from 8 to 3, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome . Communication, quality of services, pricing and punctuality were all on point. The most impressive part of this is that Zach is an 11th grader, doing this after school and on the weekends. I don't often write reviews, but I definitely recommend this young entrepreneur and his company. I was blown away not only by his work ethics, but also by his evel of communication and focus on customer satisfaction. Thanks Zach and Arrow-Lawn-Care!

Amazing experience- would highly recommend! Our yard was looking rough, and overgrown- they quickly scheduled us, and did an AMAZING job! The mowing and edging was flawless. What sets them apart is they really went above and beyond. I had a long hose going across our yard I wasn’t able to get moved prior to them coming, I asked if they would mow around it, just leave a strip unmoved, which they said they would, however, when coming home, they move the hose so we didn’t have a unmowed strip! The weeds that were in our driveway are gone, and they paid close attention to make sure all of the edging was done in our yard! Blew away the debris. I truly can’t recommend them enough, easy to work with, and top-tier quality of work!

Out of nearly 200 Google reviews and more than 3.6 million review views as a Level 7 Local Guide, this is one of the strongest recommendations I can give. Paul and Son Tree Service & Pressure Washing delivered exactly what you hope for when hiring a contractor: professionalism, honesty, fair pricing, and outstanding results. Paul came out on a weekend to provide an estimate and took the time to walk through everything with me. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made me feel completely comfortable from the start. I even invited him into my home while we discussed the project, which says a lot about the trust he inspired. The pricing was very fair for the tree removal, additional brush cleanup, and pressure washing of my driveway and side porch area. I also asked whether they were fully insured, and Paul immediately said, “Absolutely,” and explained why that matters. That gave me even more confidence. Later that same evening, I received a professional QuickBooks estimate by email. Everything was clearly itemized, and approving the quote took just one click. Transparent and highly professional. On the day of the job, Paul kept me updated, arrived exactly when promised, and completed everything on schedule. The work was done while I was at work, and he notified me when they started and when they finished. The results were excellent. The trees and brush were removed, everything was cleaned up thoroughly, and the pressure washing made a dramatic difference. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves. If you're looking for a trustworthy, insured, and highly professional company that treats you fairly and does outstanding work, hire Paul and Son with confidence. This is my highest possible recommendation.

Paul and Sons just spent two days in 20 degree weather, cutting down three trees, ground the stumps below ground and smooth area, can not tell trees were there. Removed numerous Crape Mrytles around the pool, removed trash, getting the massive amount of of leaves. Then cut the yard, getting ready for spring.

Exceptional tree removal by “Paul and Son”. The care for my lawn to the discussion of what I wanted done. They listened attentively to every word and executed to the tee. Left my property clean and free of all debris. If you want a top notch crew at a great price “Paul and Son” is the right professionals to hire.

I reached out to Jason last minute asking for a request he typically doesn’t handle as far as he is mainly lawn care. My home has 5 years of overgrown vines, weeds, and small trees from the previous owners not handling their lawn correctly. I tried to do it myself, but it was a long and hard job I unfortunately did not have the tools for. Jason literally did the job no questions asked and was excited to do something “different” him and his employee did the rest of the woodline area as well as move numerous things that were found in the woods in a couple hours when it would have taken me weeks. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome that I received from fort liberty lawn! Here are before and after pictures (the after pictures are prior to the guys finishing the job due to a bad rain storm)

Fort Liberty Lawn hands down 12/10!!!! My hubby was coming back from deployment and my mother was placed in hospice and there was no way I could do our yard work. My friend reached out to Jason and he was amazing to work with and got the job done for us. It was such a gift!! They went out of their way and did extraordinary work!!! It is so amazing we have a veteran owned company around us that looks out for their fellow veterans and their families!! Thank you so much for doing such amazing work!

Jason and his team came to the rescue during a stressful time for my friends family. We wanted to bless them with a reliable lawncare service to cleanup some storm debris, trees and cut grass, while my friends husband was deployed and her mother was under hospice care. He was incredibly easy to communicate with, gave us a great price and really worked hard to complete the job within 24 hours. We appreciate him and his team so much for all they did to help take the burden off the family suing such a hard time. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!

This review is LONG overdue and for that I want to do nothing but apologize to Rickey and his amazing crew. My husband and I were put in contact with Rickey after another "landscaping company" came and did an awful job on our yard. We were in the process of selling our home and were so worried that we would not be able to find a good buyer if we couldn't get the lawn under control. Time was not on our side! Rickey called us immediately and even agreed to come out late that same night with nothing but a flashlight to give us an estimate! He was very honest and worked with us on what we could afford after already paying another company to do the same thing. Rickey was one of the first people we worked with that listened to our concerns and actually addressed them! He was able to get his large crew out to our house within 48 hours to tackle the job. Now, when I say tackle, that is exactly what I mean. They came out early and worked their butts off until after dark. We were more than happy with the results but Rickey was dead set on ensuring every single thing we paid for was done and then some! He sent a wonderful worker to come by the next day and do some touchups to ensure everything was to our liking. The pictures speak for themselves but I could not help but add the background in to explain why we owe him so much. Rickey and his crew DO NOT disappoint! If we were not moving, they would forever be our go-to for lawn care. Our home sold in less than a week and I can tell you, without his help, we would have had a hard time to even get them through that front door. Hats off to Front 2 Back Landscaping!

Great experience! I had Rickey come out to give a quote and go over everything needed to be done. Within that week we agreed to the work! Him and his crew showed up early and stayed well past dark to get the entire front and back yard done. I had 5 trees removed, sod laid and tons of pruning and cutting back. Hedges ripped out and beautiful black mulch landscaped with all new plants he got for my yard. Great customer service and affordable!

I do not know where to begin!! I had called a few companies to get quotes, but once I spoke to Rickey I immediately knew I would go with his company! He was very friendly and detail orientated. He quoted me a very resonance price as well. Him and his team did an AMAZING job on my overgrown yard that required a ton of work. I could not be there to see the finished product so Rickey updated me with photos throughout the process. I would 1000% recommend this company to anyone looking for a great team of workers that will go above and beyond to get the job done! Thanks again!! I absolutely love my yard!!

Had a small fire pit project that I wanted to complete, called and the receptionist was super nice and helpful. Sent me the options for rocks to my phone and even gave me her suggestions on which rocks to use. I decided to go with her suggestion and boy did it turn out beautiful. She offered same day or next day delivery. I opted for next day, and they were delivered on time and as promised. I will definitely be using them for any landscaping needs in the future. Highly recommend this company!

I met Mr. Smith at his shop while having my car serviced nearby. I told him what I wanted done and gave him my information and he said he would stop by to look at the work and send me an estimate. I told him that I wasn’t shopping around. I trust God to lead me to the right place! They arrived ahead of time, and went right to work. The brought the right equipment to complete the work. They moved things that were in their way. They cleaned up all of the limbs and leaves and left everything clean! We were completely satisfied with their professional service!

Recommend this company to everyone! They were able to come out quickly to get us a quote. They then got going on our yard … a week or two later! Communication was very fast every time we did an email back and forth. I felt that the price for the amount of work/what we got was a very very fair price! We had nothing but a fence and the yard was a hot mess to start. They had plants, trees, and sod all done in two days work! It was insanely fast and looks gorgeous. The owners are some of the nicest people! Beyond happy with what they did! Thank you again! You were awesome! Will absolutely recommend to everyone !

How do you choose a landscaper in Fayetteville?
Start by separating routine lawn care from construction work. Mowing, edging and seasonal cleanup require a different crew and schedule than grading, drainage, irrigation, retaining walls or a full planting installation. In Fayetteville, ask how the plan changes for sandy soil, clay pockets, shade and the long summer heat.
Get a written scope that names the work, materials, disposal, watering duties and follow-up visits. For irrigation, confirm whether the system will be inspected for broken heads and coverage, and ask how many gallons per minute the design requires. A timer does not fix a clogged filter, no matter how confidently it blinks.
Use these questions to compare proposals without treating the lowest number as the winner:
| Question | Why it matters in Fayetteville |
|---|---|
| What soil and drainage problems do you see? | Sandy soil drains fast, while clay and compacted fill can hold water near roots and foundations. |
| Which grass or plants fit this yard? | Heat, shade, acidic soil and irrigation limits should shape the plant list. |
| What is included in cleanup? | Storm debris, pine straw, clippings and haul-off can otherwise become surprise charges. |
| Who handles irrigation checks? | A planting job can fail quickly if the coverage, pressure or timer settings are wrong. |
| What maintenance follows installation? | New sod, shrubs and trees need a watering and care schedule through the first summer. |
| Is the scope written down? | A clear list of quantities, materials, dates and exclusions keeps a small job from becoming a large misunderstanding. |
Before signing, look for proof of insurance and ask how workers protect driveways, septic areas, tree roots and underground utilities. Walk the property with the crew lead, mark the areas that must stay untouched, and take photographs of existing damage. If the job includes grading or drainage, ask where the water will go. Moving it onto the neighbor's lot is not drainage; it is a future conversation.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best time to plant grass in Fayetteville, North Carolina?
For warm-season grass, late spring through early summer is usually the practical window, once soil temperatures are around 65 degrees Fahrenheit and frost risk has passed. New sod still needs dependable watering, often 10 to 15 minutes per zone once or twice daily at first, adjusted for rain and soil drainage.
How often should a Fayetteville lawn be mowed?
During active summer growth, many lawns need mowing every 5 to 7 days. Keep bermudagrass near 1 to 2 inches, centipedegrass near 1.5 to 2.5 inches and zoysiagrass near 1 to 2.5 inches, depending on the variety and site. Never remove more than one third of the blade at a cut.
How much does landscaping cost in Fayetteville, NC?
The price depends on whether the job is recurring mowing, planting, irrigation, drainage, tree work or hardscaping. Ask for a written scope that lists labor, materials, disposal, grading, watering and follow-up care. Those details matter more than a bare starting price.
Do landscapers in Fayetteville handle drainage problems?
Some do, but confirm that drainage and grading are part of the company's actual scope. Ask whether the plan uses regrading, swales, surface drains, French drains or another method, and where the water will discharge. Get the proposed slope and outlet in writing before excavation begins.
