10 Top Landscaping Companies in Denver, Colorado
A guide to the top 10 landscaping companies in Denver, Colorado for every yard and budget
August 20, 2026
By Diego Navarro

If you own a home in Denver, Colorado and need landscaping help, start with one of these ten local companies. Hiring a landscaper here means working with the climate, water limits, and rocky soil. A good company will know how to design and maintain a yard that handles Denver’s sun, drought, and sudden storms.
Denver’s yards are shaped by the Rocky Mountain climate. You get cold snaps in May, hail in June, and weeks of dry heat by July. The soil is mostly clay and sand, so it drains too fast or not at all, and digging can turn up rocks the size of a football.
If you want a green lawn, xeriscape, or just a yard that survives August, you need a landscaper who understands Colorado’s weather and water rules. The best crews here build for sudden freezes, drought, and the kind of wind that snaps a new tree in half. They know the plants that live through it and the hardscape that stays put through a wet spring and a dry fall.
Who are the best landscaping companies in Denver?
Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

What customers say:
I have now given ACA Landscape THREE separate opportunities to do the job I am paying them for, and all three times they have failed. Their pricing is ridiculously overpriced for the shoddy work they are doing. My property is covered in weeds throughout the front yard, backyard, side yard, fence lines, and landscaping beds. After three different service visits, the weeds remain everywhere. The only areas that appear to have been touched are the most visible spots from the street. The rest of the property was either ignored completely or only partially serviced. What is most frustrating is that after each visit, I was led to believe the work had been completed. They send angled photos that make it look like the whole job was complete when it wasn’t. The photos I am attaching show the actual condition of my property one hour after their service team left. There are 6-8ft tall weeds along the side of the house, overgrown weeds throughout the backyard rock beds, weeds along the fence line, and weeds spread throughout the front landscaping. Anyone looking at these photos can clearly see this is not a completed weed-removal service. I have spent more time following up, sending photos, and requesting corrections than ACA has spent actually doing the work. At this point, I have lost confidence that the company either supervises its crews or verifies that work was completed before claiming a job is finished. If a landscaping company cannot successfully perform basic weed removal after three separate attempts, I cannot recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and hire a company that actually finishes the job the first time. ETA: Not a single person on the team E V E R reached out and said they would need to come back. Not the first, second, or third time they came out. The team repeatedly gave me photos to make it look like they completed the work when they did not. They refunded me after I sent a nasty email demanding it and requested to cancel my future services so that I can find a lawn care company who actual wants to do the work they're paid for.

Brandon is so great to work with and created a functional and beautiful backyard that my kids and I can love for years!! The entire crew, especially Gustavo, were so amazing and nice every step of the way! They also got the front and backyard done in one week which is amazing! Thank you for all the work you’ve done! I’m so obsessed with the boulders too and was kind of fun watching the guys have fun moving them into place. (Ignore the plants in the pictures as we are doing those slowly ourselves.)

Victor and his whole team were amazing! Our yard looks like a perfect park now and we couldn’t be happier. They were fast, efficient, and finished all of our beautiful new sod, clearing out the old junk in the yard, and adding a few sprinklers in just one day. We were able to work together on pricing/staying within our budget which we really appreciated too. I would highly recommend Fisherman LLC to anyone and they will be our go-to for all things outdoor improvement moving forward! Thank you Victor and the whole team!

Melvin and his team are great!! They have done lots of work, both seasonal and upgrades for our lawn, all of which is great quality! Most recently they installed our new patio! Melvin kept me in the loop the whole way. I gave him a blueprint of what I’d like and then gave him creative ability to make it happen how his expertise saw fit! The finished product was better than I could have imagined! Start to finish took them around 4 days! Price was very good! 110% would recommend The Fisherman LLC!

Pros: Cheap Cons: He’s caused easily $5k to $7k of damage on both properties. Single handily killed two lawns on two different properties; after telling us multiple times that he reviewed our sprinkler system and that our lawn was in good shape. 1. Our home saw the lawn die slowly and then rapidly with the wrong sprinklers. 2. Today we are here reviewing our other property he’s “been mowing” and THE entire back yard is dead on .25 acres. My wife has called him multiple times and text him to review our properties. He has consistently cut the lawn too short with the heat, and had limited water. Plus, almost no communication to solve these issues. I guess this is his standard of care. If he quotes you a cheap price (which my wife used as a large weight in decision making) be prepared to mange him, review all his work, and even then be prepared for this to be your result. He has been mowing a dead lawn now as well for every two weeks for months now, so I’m not sure if it’s stealing but it’s unethical at the least.

I recently hired this landscaper and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, he was friendly, approachable, and easy to communicate with. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions without being pushy. His professionalism really stood out—he showed up on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything clean and organized. On top of that, his pricing was very competitive compared to others I looked into, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. The finished result completely transformed my yard, and I’ve already received compliments from neighbors. Overall, it was a smooth, stress-free experience, and I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for reliable and high-quality landscaping work.

Took a vision and made it a reality! Did an amazing job transforming my sloped rock backyard into a gardeners dream with large trees for privacy, fruit trees, roses, and huge planter beds that allow for standing gardening and perfect watering. They even helped me personally understand how to turn on/off the sprinklers, helped with seasonal upkeep and blowouts. This team is who you want for all your landscaping needs!

The City came and informed me i had a leak in my irrigation line. I was recommend to Keaton by a local and reached out to him. He made it to my place, identified the leak so fast and took care of it immediately. Very pleased with the service and have asked him for help with my dripping system. Great guy! Highly recommend.

We are extremely happy with phase 1 of 2 of our landscaping project done Highlands Landscaping. Phase 2, the planting project, will be in May. From start to finish this project went very well. The Landscape Designer and Estimator, John, was very clear and communicative and listened to what we we wanted. Our Project Manager, Nikola, was a pleasure to work with and you could tell he really cared about doing a good job. The installation crew was very polite and professional. And last but not least, Alisa, the Client Relations Manager was warm and welcoming. Great company to work with that communicates extremely well.

Highlands Landscaping did a great job on our yard! We have a big ol' pine tree and the needles turned half our back yard into a dirt patch (I guess the pine needles are very acidic and bad for the soil and grass). So, Desmond came and helped us talk about putting in a paver patio and some rocks (so it wouldn't be quite as expensive as a patio all the way and we could dig up the rocks to access the sprinkler system if we ever needed too without the pain of disturbing the patio). We also talked about them hauling away the old starting to rot wooden railway ties that bordered our yard and putting in a brick border. All and all, it was going to be less grass to water (yay! Especially with our CO drought), and a new patio to relax on, and a new yard boarder that would last and not attract the wasps. :). Nikola and the construction crew showed up on time, listened to us, and worked like they were all in their 20's, lol. I don't know how they did it, but boy did/do we appreciate it! Thank you Nikola P. and team, and thank you Highlands! We love it! It took them around 3 1/2 solid days. We spent around 15 grand on the whole project. Pricey? Maybe, BUT this work will last a lifetime, and remodeling work seems to be pretty pricey these days! For the work they did, we think it was definitely fair. They moved 11 sprinkler heads and fixed 2 damaged pipes. They laid down fabric. Brought in beautiful, heavy duty, edging rock and patio brick material, and graded everything correctly. Dragged out all our old railroad wood that surrounded the whole old yard. Quality work, and a professional and quality team. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to do a backyard remodel! Thank you Highlands, we LOVE it!! The first photo 1. is the OLD dirt patch and rail road ties. The second 2. is from a high window where you can see the dirt patch and where the edging and patio will go. Third 3. Is a kitty on the new patio :). 4. Watering and looking out from the patio and the rocks! 5. More of the edge rocks framing the yard!

We recently had landscaping done by Highlands Landscaping, it included a new fence with gate, additional fencing on the side of the house, we needed a new retaining wall with steps from lower level, old wall was collapsing in addition to a new wall by the patio, lastly we added a water feature in front, working with Erica from the beginning, addressing what we wanted she processed the quote and answered all our questions, pricing was reasonable, timeline for job completion was reasonable, work was completed in a timely fashion, the workers were very conscientious, and extremely efficient, I will continue to use Highlands Lanscaping for any future jobs, including sprinkler blowout.

I used Cousins about 6 years ago to finish my back yard. That job included new concrete patio, artificial turf, adding rock, planting trees and plants. I recently called them again to get a quote to redo my front yard. They just finished the job and everything looks so wonderful! The job included tearing out overgrown plants, grass, and so much mulch. They replaced with 2 kinds of rock, 3 large boulders, a little mulch, new plants, and a paver pathway in the tree lawn. They also replaced most of the irrigation system. I am so pleased with my beautiful new water wise yard. Tito and his team are some of the hardest working people I have met. All are very polite and flexible with changes. Their pricing was reasonable and the project only took a few days. A very talented group of guys and a great company to work with. Don't hesitate to hire them.

We were referred to The Cousins Landscaping by our neighbors, who had used them for their own backyard project and had a great experience. From the very beginning, the team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. One of the things that impressed us most was their efficiency, the entire project was completed in about a week without sacrificing quality. The crew was hardworking, respectful of our property, and paid close attention to detail. My family and I are extremely satisfied with the final result. They transformed our outdoor space beautifully, and the workmanship exceeded our expectations. We truly appreciate their professionalism and we would confidently recommend The Cousins Landscaping to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality and fairly priced landscaping services.

Tito and his team did a great job from start to finish. We had a vision of a design for our new build backyard and Tito worked with us to develop that vision into reality. He started by walking the property with us and transforming our hand drawings, along with his ideas and expertise, into 2D and 3D renderings. The project started when he said it would and lasted approximately three weeks, with just a couple of Colorado springtime weather delays. Tito was onsite every day and he and his team were always very professional and courteous. He was very responsive to our ideas and modifications as the project progressed, and we are very pleased with the final results. He followed up with us after the project was complete, and was quick to respond weeks later when we asked him to come out to adjust the irrigation system. Thank you Cousins Landscaping. We are enjoying our new space everyday!

What customers say:
In March of this year, we hired Brett Bzdelik to redesign our front yard. We needed to reduce our amount of bluegrass, add planting beds, introduce some new trees, and generally update an old and very uninteresting layout. To begin, we provided Brett with a list of goals we had set out for the project. We also described the kinds of yards we liked and gave him a sense of what plants we wanted to see. Within a couple of weeks Brett provided us with two designs for our yard and they were both outstanding. Brett had addressed a number of important factors when setting up our yard design. For example, how would some plants stand in relation to other vegetation or elements of the yard? How would plant colors vary according to season? How will the heights of things change the plan over time? How can the plants be viewed from inside the house? How could the layout complement the lines of our house and also accommodate an existing honey locust? These considerations were important to keep in mind and ultimately, I think, helped make our yard design so successful. Then, after we selected a plan, Brett introduced us to his installation and crew leader, Armando, with whom we worked for several weeks. Armando and his crew were wonderful. They arrived, as planned, each morning with all the materials and tools needed for the day's job. His workers were conscientious, skilled, and simply nice to have around. Armando led them through every phase of our project which ranged from initial demo, planting bed construction, irrigation installation, masonry work, lighting, and then to final plant selection. All is done now, and we are delighted with how our front yard looks. We're very glad we chose Harvester Landscapes for this project, and I would easily recommend them to you. We simply couldn’t be more pleased with how things went. Harvester has managed to turn our drab and uninspired front yard into one that we love to look at and which, I know, we will be really enjoying for many years to come.
Rhett Adams, 4 months ago
We could not be more pleased with our new backyard. Brett helped us create a design that brought our vision to life despite some unique challenges with our yard. His team was really efficient as they created a complete makeover in a few, short weeks. Brett was there every step of the way to make sure we were pleased with the direction and to answer our questions. On top of that, they completed the project for substantially less than the two original quotes we received.
Brady Miller, 9 months ago
Highly recommend! I have hired several landscaping/property maintenance companies in the past and they are always hard to reach, flaky, and don’t pay attention to detail. Harvester is the exact opposite. Incredible customer service, attention to detail, and they go above and beyond to make sure the whole property looks great! They even came out before the untimely freeze in early may to shut off the sprinklers to prevent a burst/leak. Before and after photos of our yard attached. Their services are well worth the price, it’s not just mowing and edging but pine needle removal, trash and debris removal, and anything else that is needed to keep the yard looking pristine.

I can’t recommend Aaron and his team enough. We had a terrible landscaping/sod job in the past, so we knew what to watch for this time around. Aaron provided a detailed quote, which I appreciated, and then delivered on it, they built a planter box, xeriscaped a portion of the yard, planted flowers, and laid new sod. You could tell how meticulous they were about doing it right and giving the sod the best chance to thrive. They were also punctual, worked hard, and Aaron was very responsive throughout. I’m genuinely impressed and would recommend them 100%.

I highly recommend Modern Concepts! We worked with Aaron and his team to do xeriscaping and sod installation at our new house and they were so great to work with. His team was respectful and efficient while delivering a final product that we are thrilled with. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Before and after pictures attached. Don’t hesitate to hire them for your next project!

We interviewed 4 landscaping companies and we’re so pleased that we chose Modern Concepts to zero-scape our backyard and construct a dog-run. Their craftsmanship was superior, they were on schedule and on budget. If anyone is considering a landscaping investment, I highly recommend Aaron and his Modern Concepts team.

We hired DTE to create a beautiful prayer garden at our church and they did a wonderful job! These guys were great to work with and they finished the project on schedule to make sure that it was ready for Easter. We are grateful to DTE and we highly recommend them!

We worked with Down To Earth Landscaping (DTEL) this past summer (2025) to design and redo our backyard. Chuck did a really nice job designing our backyard oasis, and Charlie did a great job implementing Chuck's design. We really love the steel pergola for the hot tub, the large steel screens, the large steel planter, and the water feature/fountain that were part of the design. We did hit some snags along the way where the design and implementation were off from our perspective, and DTEL remained committed in those instances and addressed any/all issues satisfactorily. We liked working with the DTEL team, would highly recommend them, and will be back in touch with them when we have future landscaping projects. Please see the attached pictures/video, which really speak for themselves. Thanks Chuck and Charlie for your commitment and delivery!

How do you choose a landscaper in Denver?
Choosing a landscaper in Denver starts with knowing your own yard’s needs. If you’re looking for a full landscape overhaul, choose a company with experience in both design and installation. For ongoing care or smaller projects, look for a crew that communicates clearly and works with the region’s water restrictions and soil challenges. Always ask about their familiarity with drought-tolerant plants and irrigation systems, and make sure they’re licensed and insured. A walk-through and written quote are standard.
