We are so pleased with the job that Hank Payne the Designer and Sean Kilmer, Project Manager and his crew from Southern Botanical did for us. We met Hank initially and went back and forth on landscape ideas and a design for our new patio complete with our grill and bbq. It was a bit challenging since our patio isn’t that big but Hank designed it and it’s perfect. Sean has been instrumental in getting all of the landscaping completed just as we wanted it to be. He also had some great ideas on where to place some Japanese Maples that we weren’t sure where the should go. They listened to what we liked and what we had in mind and brought it to life. Each new tree and plant has a purpose and looks gorgeous. And the lighting really makes it feel special at night. And we also added a beautiful simple fountain that makes just enough noise. If I could give them 10 ⭐️’s I would! Great company that believes in educating people about proper tree care. I asked for help and they came a running. I was anticipating an invoice for a service visit, guidance and action plan. Nope, David gave me the help I needed and answered 20 other questions about my other trees. I don’t need pruning, my magnolia is going to live and I have a game plan going forward. Save up to secure the services of Southern Botanical and you will not regret it! We did, and certainly don’t! Across the board, their services are a cut, or two or three cuts, above. Price is not the only differentiator. The intangible skills, experience and insights they bring to persist and counsel together with the landowner and among themselves to find optimal solutions at every turn, even and especially on the fly, is the biggest game changer in our experience. These before and after pictures are roughly one year apart. If this doesn’t speak volumes I don’t know what will. JP and his crews expertise are unmatched. I thought there was no saving this lawn when I first bought this property, but I did some extensive research and ultimately decided on Higher Ground to help me out. His annual plan from scheduling post emergents, pre emergents, fertilizer, top dressing and more is what every homeowner needs if they prioritize a clean lawn. However, his advice in regards to watering and mowing must be taken seriously to achieve the best results. But good news is they stick a to do list on your door after each visit which makes it easy to do. I recommend JP and Higher Ground to anyone and everyone and I can’t wait to continue to see results.

Kevin, the owner, was at our house that very same day. What we learned early on was the URGENCY and speed with how Keane works. They have and maintain a generous labor pool to get your job knocked out ASAP to your satisfaction. We were so satisfied that we asked our new builder if we could substitute Keane versus their regular sub contractor. After some negotiation Keane was cleared and they knocked out job in no time. I was super excited to use Ms. Greta with Princess Cuts. She came highly recommended by a friend. From the beginning of our interaction there were cracks/red flags. I received 1 AI photo as to how my lawn will be designed, however I had 3 invoices with different prices for the same single photo. I entered payment into 1 of those invoices. Ms Greta called and said that she left 3 Holly Berry trees off the invoice I had already paid, and it will be an additional price of $500 which was unexpected. She apologized and offered to pay the taxes on the 3 trees. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay the difference, because I wanted the job completed. In addition, she sent me someone's else's invoice, which in my opinion, unprofessional. So, in total, I received 4 invoices via email, 3 of which were mine with different prices. After my landscaping was completed, I had trees and shrubs to develop severe browning 3 weeks later. I notified Ms Greta to see if there was anything I needed to do. She asked if I had my irrigation system checked and I said no, but was watering them daily by hand until I get an assessment of the system. She perserverated on the irrigation system and didn't listen to me as I told her I was following her recommendations. She was very defensive and stated that she only plant healthy trees and plants. The question wasn't about healthy trees, it was about how to save the plants I spent a fortune on from dying. She recommended a few items to try, but when I went to the nursery they said the contrary. I asked her would she mind please stopping by for an assessment of the problem, she refused. I was left at the mercy of the nursery to help with a problem I did not anticipate 3 weeks to 2 months after planting my plants/trees. I am most disappointed in after spending thousands for landscaping, Ms Greta refused to come out and assess the problem. I believe this is poor customer service. From multiple invoices, leaving off $500 that I incurred, and refusing to come out personally to assess a problem, I will never use her service again nor recommend her to anyone else. Her lack of professionalism spoke volumes in how she handled a customer who spent thousands and who could have recommended her services to friends and family.

We have worked with the Vargas family for over 5 years and have always been completely satisfied with their work. They have helped us with general sprinkler issues on our existing system, and have helped us come up with new sprinkler options to water our vegetable garden. They also removed/excavated a bamboo grove that was growing in our backyard— a massive job— and installed barriers to help prevent future growth. Afterwards they leveled the yard and relaid sod, and our backyard looks incredible! They are quick to respond and affordable. Highly recommend!

Tyler and team at McShane Landscaping did a fantastic job with our front yard new sod installation of Zoysia grass and flower beds makeover tearing out the previous brick border that was coming apart in areas to extending the bed coverage and giving shape for better appeal with new pavers installed to line the beds. I'm from 5 to 3 to 1 star. Best not to review until you've had plenty of rain and time to see how it really works out. Last night, after heavy rains, we again had water leak into our house. This means that the thousands of dollars we spent for them to "fix the problem" was a total waste. We had assurances that the problem would be resolved after they installed the new drainage system. Turns out, they lied. **older post Originally I had 5 stars but I'm changing it to 3. Now that we've lived with these fixes for several months and several rains I'm disappointed. We still have water collecting on the side of our house, the empty vlave often pops off and our sprinkler system was impacted by the heads not being properly re-buried so they no longer properly retract. (See additional pictures). *********** older post ************** We got a referral to The Ground Guys from a friend. We had a terrible drainage issue on the side of our house with leaking into our garage when it would rain really hard, really fast. See the picture of before drains were installed, you can see standing water backed up and pooling. The team was pretty detailed in putting together a quote. They anticipated completing the job in one day. Once they started digging they discovered that the previous drainage system was installed over our irrigation system or the gutters went to a hole in the ground, not connected to any pipe. That explained why there was so much pooling and leaking. They fixed the problem by rerouting the drainage and irrigation pipes around each other, see pictures. It took a little extra time on a second morning but the final result seems to be working.
