Homeowners in Buffalo, New York should call a local landscaping company for projects like lawn installation, garden design, or seasonal cleanup. Hiring a pro means you get help with the heavy lifting, plant choices that survive Buffalo winters, and regular upkeep. The right landscaper brings your yard to life and takes the stress off your plate.

Buffalo yards work hard. Heavy snow, spring mud, and a growing season that ends faster than you expect. Clay soil holds water until it turns to ice, then cracks when it dries out. You get a few good months to make the most of your grass, beds, and trees, so you want a yard that looks alive and handles the weather.

Finding the right help matters. A good landscaper knows which perennials come back after a February freeze, how to prep a lawn for salt and snow, and which shrubs the deer will leave alone. Buffalo’s best crews keep your yard looking sharp from the first thaw to the last leaf drop.

Who are the best landscaping companies in Buffalo?

Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

1. Buffalo Lawn & Pest Services

4.8 stars from 340 Google reviews.

What customers say:

This is our second year using this company and we're very pleased. Oliver was here yesterday and did a really great job. He was very thorough and addressed the specific needs of our lawn. Highly recommended!

Patricia W, a month ago

Great company! I’ve been using them for many years. They are very dependable and always available to answer questions. Also, always professional. I use them for pest control and for lawn care. I highly recommend Buffalo Lawn and Pest!

Luann Schuler, 5 months ago

Buffalo Lawn & Landscape have been taking care of our lawn for nearly 10 years. We stick with them because they hire people who take pride in their work. We initially found them because they were the only company who listened to our concerns about lawn treatment and our (elderly) dog’s health. All the other companies pushed the max amount of treatments irregardless.

Travis and his team did an amazing job! They finished the project same day and did great work. It was the best quote we got and Travis was very personable when we met with him. Very happy with the work! We will hire them again for future jobs!

This crew is the best and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t call them for your landscaping work. They are reasonably priced and did phenomenal work. The pictures really don’t do it justice based on what it looked like before. Cannot say enough amazing things about this company

Forget all the Naysayers. They did an amazing job. Clean, quick, reasonable price and my place looks amazing!

Jason, 2 months ago

My neighbor was having landscaping and concrete work done on THEIR property. A employee of Nick's Mowing Service came onto MY property with a empty bucket and left with a full bucket of water. He used the water faucet on the front of my home WITHOUT permission. I have video of the incident. Called the office 2 weeks ago to file a complaint; spoke to the young lady Who answered the phone. She verified her employees were in fact working next door and she would tell the owner. Still haven't received a response. Wish I could charge them for the amount of water they STOLE.

What customers say:

Pinelli Landscaping just did our front yard and we couldn’t be happier! We wanted something more on the simple side and they did just what we were wanting. They even changed the plan a bit the day of and added a few plants and stones and we loved it. They checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were okay with the plan and they were very professional throughout the entire process. Their pricing was also very reasonable for the level of service provided. Highly recommend Pinelli Landscaping!

Beth Graffeo, a year ago

I hired Pinelli Landscaping for a full landscaping project, and the results absolutely exceeded my expectations. From the very first consultation, their team was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in bringing my vision to life. They offered thoughtful suggestions I never would have considered, and every detail—from plant selection to hardscaping—was handled with incredible care and expertise. What impressed me most was their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. They checked in regularly, made sure I was happy with each stage of the process, and didn’t consider the job done until everything was perfect.

Jason Kozak, 9 months ago

We moved into our new home last year and we had Pinelli Landscaping do all our landscaping needs. This included installing a sod yard, flower beds and a stone patio with sitting walls. Tony Pinelli (the owner) is very accommodating and easy to work with. If you are not happy with something he will make it right. The same goes with his crews. His crews are hard working, polite and want the customer to be happy as well. We highly recommend this company and plan on doing more business with him in the future.

6. Landscape For Less of Western New York

4.8 stars from 71 Google reviews.

Landscape For Less of Western New York is focused on optimizing customer experiences through their website. Their approach includes analyzing traffic to improve service, though specific landscaping offerings are not detailed.

What customers say:

Tom and his crew had done a great job cleaning up the old Landscaping, which was a total hot mess. I received an estimate in March, and the work began in August. I posted what the old landscape was, and the new landscape. What a difference! The work was completed on August 20, 2026, and all of the neighbors and passerbys were impressed. My Neighbor across the street from me, came up to tell me how awesome it looks now, and that they did a great job getting rid of the old landscaping, rocks and all, especially the weeds! I have already requested Tom and his Team for fall cleanup as well as spring of next year to maintain this beautiful landscaped front yard. I highly recommend this company, and the wait was worth it. Thank you.

Carla Lane, 3 weeks ago

They did an amazing job with our front yard. Incredibly responsive to my inquiry, gave us a very fair price, and once the date was set, showed up on time, were efficient, and let us know about how to care for everything. It looks fantastic and we are very happy with the results.

Caitlin Lachaal, a month ago

Landscape for Less did a fantastic job on our landscaping. We needed a full overhaul, including design/prep/install, and they delivered - the photos speak for themselves. Their price was comparable to other quotes we got and they take a lot of pride in their work to do it the right way. The crew worked very hard and were kind and courteous while they were at our house. Tom also spent quite a bit of time with us going to nurseries to pick out what we wanted to plant and gave us a lot of good suggestions and insight into what would work in our space. If I had to give feedback, it would be that we didn’t know how the entire process would work upfront and we interpreted that as a lack of communication. As soon as I brought this up to Tom, it got much better and we felt more comfortable and in the loop after that. All around would definitely recommend working with Landscapes for Less!

7. CSA Landscaping & Plowing

5.0 stars from 52 Google reviews.

CSA Landscaping & Plowing is known for being punctual, reliable, and respectful. They help clients select plants at local nurseries, handle all removal of old landscaping, and also offer snow plowing services for year-round support.

What customers say:

I watched CSA meticulously work across the street from me. I flagged the owner down and asked about drainage, he gave me a fair quote and a quick time commitment. They showed up when they said, they work as a team and once they finished they cleaned up so well that you wouldn’t even know they dug up 50 feet and placed drainage in. I highly recommend CSA and will be using them for future needs.

Thomas Allen, 2 months ago

Excellent experience with CSA! These guys were able to get us scheduled quickly, supplied nicely ground black mulch, trimmed out all the beds, weeded, installed a quality fabric and carefully placed the mulch. The result is in the photos! I definitely recommend them and they are competitively priced as we got other estimates. They will be our “go to” first choice for our landscaping projects!

Elaine Lennox, a year ago

From estimate to completion CSA was awesome! They were on time and did an excellent job. I didn't think to take before pictures but our landscaping was a mess. They also cut down a large branch on our Silver Maple. We are VERY happy and satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone. Excellent company and crew!

The driver shoveled a path for me on the side walk and at my front door. This was a COURTESY clean up. I am so grateful for Grabber being such a good neighbor. This is my local store. The people who work here are very nice and polite. I just don’t know why they aren’t knowledgeable about their plants or inventory. This is what shook me: I bought an apple tree with more price to have 4 types of Apple on it first summer no fruit this summer the plant is filled with apples but they’re only green. I was excited for a very long time and this just messed everything up. I bought multiple fruit trees this year (some similar with 4 types of apple and peach plants). I’m afraid if I’ll have the same type on those. These plants aren’t cheap. I’m extremely upset for paying a higher price for a regular one. I think they might have mislabeled the tree or something. Will have to wait till next year to see how the others turn out to be.

9. Green's Landscaping & Services LLC

4.4 stars from 51 Google reviews.

What customers say:

I have been a customer of Green's Landscaping & Services LLC since last summer, when Noah and his amazing team helped me with a fallen tree. Since then, Green's has become my only choice for snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, and yard maintenance. I can't say enough positive things about this company. Noah and his crew are reliable, efficient, hard-working, and friendly. They always do an excellent and thorough job. They are affordable, and work around my schedule, and everything is clean and tidy cl when they are finished- which is wonderful. Last winter I broke my collarbone and I don't know what I would have done without their services, showing up on the coldest of winter days. I highly recommend hiring Green's. Noah is certainly 'The Man for All Seasons '.

Samantha Summers, 4 months ago

Truly awful experience with these crooks and liars. Contracted for full season of snow removal service. Same terms as previous reviews, snows overnight should have been removed by 7AM, that never happened, not even once. After a particular January snowfall they didn’t show up for 3 days, we couldn’t open up for visitors because there was no way to get into the building, and our postal carrier couldn’t deliver our payroll. Instead of bringing the appropriate equipment two of their “workers” showed up with $5 plastic shovels, gave up after 10 minutes and went to the liquor store across the street. Their plow driver showed up drunk on multiple occasions, drinking an alcoholic tea, while plowing snow across our neighbor’s sidewalks. There are numerous senior citizens in our neighborhood who rely on us to keep our sidewalks clear so they can get to the supermarket or pharmacy. That couldn’t happen till we hired someone else to complete the job Green’s Landscaping and Services purposely left unfinished. All we got were excuses, I had to contact our credit card company, because the partial refund they PROMISED to return to us, you guessed it, never came…. just more excuses. Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors, any company who takes advantage of a small not-for-profit, puts the community at risk by operating heavy equipment while intoxicated, and leaves the most vulnerable members of our community without a safe way to obtain food and medicine doesn’t deserve our, or your, business. They’ll probably just change their business name so they can continue to rip people off, but the owner, NOAH GREEN, can’t run from all the problems he’s created. Stay far far away from this awful person and whatever “services” he’s offering, you won’t get them.

Landlords BEWARE of this snow plow company. Took $450 payment for the season and did not provide services in contract. I hired Noah and his team at Green’s Landscaping on Jan 19. I paid for the rest of the season and signed a contract. The contract stated they would arrive by 7am after a nighttime snowfall of more than 2 inches. After the first major snowfall, no one showed up. I was told their trucks had broken down and they would get out as soon as they could. Three days later, two men came with shovels. Instead of clearing the driveway, they pushed snow into large piles on both sides, making it very hard for anyone to get in or out of their cars. They also blocked the dumpsters with those piles. This was not fixed until I asked several times. Two days later, a man returned with a young child and they shoveled again. Neither visit included the sidewalks, which were clearly part of the contract. About a week later, after the next snowfall, I again had to reach out multiple times before anyone came. That was the third and final time they serviced the property. Not once did they come without repeated messages from me. Not once was the job fully cleared. In fact, the way the snow was piled made things worse once it froze. Not once did they arrive by 7am so my tenants could leave for work, as promised. I don’t enjoy writing this about a local small business. However, as a landlord, I would not want someone else to go through this. I paid in full for a service that was not delivered as agreed. I asked for a $150 refund. I was told $100 was fair. That means I paid $350 for two shovel visits and one very brief plow visit, with sidewalks never cleared and service only happening after repeated requests. I hired them to make our life easier with a seamless process and they made it even more difficult. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

Unfortunately, we lost all our 20' arborvitae's in the blizzard of 2022. Lud tried to save them but couldn't - for many reasons. When I arrived home later that day, everything was gone and cleaned up as if they were never there!!! Thank you....

Jeff, 3 years ago

Super friendly, helpful and Ultra convenient with inexpensive delivery to your house! Mark and Forest were great helps. Here is a before and after of a narrow walkway that kept flooding due to broken concrete that we could not pull out cuz it had adhered to both houses foundations
