10 Landscaping Companies in Augusta, Georgia
Compare 10 Augusta landscaping companies for lawn care, drainage, landscape installation, maintenance and outdoor improvements
October 3, 2026
By Diego Navarro

Augusta homeowners can compare these 10 local landscaping companies for lawn care, maintenance, concrete features, drainage, sod and landscape installation. Hiring one usually starts with a site visit, a written scope, and a plan for Augusta’s heat, humidity, red clay, weeds and drainage. Get the details before work starts.
A homeowner in Augusta should choose a landscaper who understands hot, humid summers, acidic red clay and the drainage problems that follow heavy rain. Hiring one should include a clear site assessment, written scope, maintenance expectations and pricing before the first shovel goes in.
Augusta yards often fight compacted soil, standing water, summer weeds and turf that thins under heat or shade. Soil may look tough and still move underfoot, so grading, soil preparation and drainage deserve as much attention as the plant list.
This directory includes companies offering lawn care, landscape maintenance, concrete features, sod, drainage, materials and full landscape work. Read each description closely, then ask how the proposed work will handle your particular yard.
Who are the best landscaping companies in Augusta?
Ordered by Google rating weighted against the number of ratings, so a long record of good work outranks a handful of perfect scores. This is a ranking of public feedback, not an endorsement.

Our Fairway Lawns technician, Hunter Spears, is one of the best we’ve had. He’s respectful & hard working. He always takes time to do a great job & knocks on my door to let me know he’s here & starting a treatment. I so appreciate his consideration to do that & he’s patient when I ask questions. Keep up the good job Hunter! Kudos to him! Sandy Ham

Fairway lawn representatives I spoke with on the phone gave me the impression they take great pride in their services offered. However, some of the technicians that come out to do the service, in my opinion from what I could see them doing, wasn’t very detailed in the service provided. I will wait and allow the service to continue before I can make an honest assessment. This opinion is based solely on one visit , I just signed up for service with fairway

Following scheduling with Jeremy, Brady and Elroy are the team members that provided the excellent curb clean up and aeration services to My lawn. They arrived on time, performed the tasks, and answered all of My questions in layman's terms. They were both very knowledgeable and mannerable. Brady explained the aeration process and Elroy explained the curb cleanup process... each giving advice on future care. The work was actually much better than I had imagined. I am very pleased. I can tell that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. Thank you for making this a good experience. I had met Brady a few weeks earlier as they were providing excellent services to a lawn in a nearby neighborhood and asked him a few questions. He was very pleasant and I witnessed the quality of service that they performed. I would highly recommend Augusta Lawn Care Services for all of your lawn care needs.

The Curb Guys did an absolutely amazing job on the concrete curbing for my garden landscape! It completely transformed the look of my yard! Everything looks clean, polished, and professionally finished. They showed up right on time, were courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and clearly take pride in their work. I also got a few quotes from other companies beforehand, and not only were they competitively priced, but the quality of their work truly stands out. If you’re looking for high-quality landscape curbing done right, I highly recommend them. Well done, guys!

Billy, Carlos and Daylan are an exceptional team! They arrived on time, adjusted to any changes I asked, and were very courteous and respectful of my property at all times. It took me several years to take the plunge for the edging. Going with the curb guys was the best choice I could have made. They kept me posted as to schedule changes caused by the weather and updated me in a timely manner. The end result is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. One last kudo to Joe and Terrence who updated me with emails and texts and answered any questions I had before the edging was installed.

What customers say:
So yesterday the CSRA maintenance crew came to do the first cutting of my Zeon Zoysia that was sodded on 15 June. I asked if they could come a few days early since my HOA was upset at the grass height, not understanding it was recently sodded. So the CSRA GC management worked me into their sked. They did a great job, and for a very picky person like me that is hard to do. Super happy with CSRA Ground Control from the sodding project, weed n feeding and now the maintenance!!!!!!

I cannot recommend this company enough. They installed a French drain on the side of my house and installed sod. They were willing to make every change that I asked, and they’re the most professional workers I’ve seen. They never tried to upcharge like a lot of businesses do.

The company fixed my broken pipes after Helene last year. The irrigation "brain" was probably as old as my home. I requested a digital brain for the system. A young man came out first thing, installed and set up my digital box. His explanation was clear and understandable. Thank you!

I needed to transform my landscape at our new home. This yard had been neglected for many years. Scapegoat came in and reviewed our situation and came up with a plan to transform the look of this lot. They came in and regraded, shaped beds, dropped straw, brought in topsoil, and seeded. Within a few weeks, our yard went from on of the worst to one of the best looking lots in the community. The work was efficient and the price was more than fair.

Very helpful and great prices. Fast service I didn't even make it inside before someone asked if I needed help. I explained I was looking for top soil for grass. The guy told me to park over near the dirt pile he filled my trailer and asked to meet him inside to pay so I did. In all I was in and gone in about 10 to 15 minutes. Great job 👍

I’ve bought tons of river rocks, sand, and mulch from Earthtech. They have the best prices in the area and I highly recommend getting any landscaping mulch from them. It’s made an amazing difference without having to break the bank. They will also deliver it to your home for a reasonable fee.

They have been to my home a couple of times now and have my yard looking great. I also had them put fresh pine straw down a couple of weeks ago and to my surprise, put more today, because Tyler wasn’t pleased with the quality of the original pine straw. That tells me he is very conscientious and takes pride in his work. Tyler has kept me up to speed on when he would be out for mowing. That was very important to me because I have 2 dogs that I have to keep inside when they come.
Kelly Dooley, 6 months ago

What customers say:
We hired Landscaped Unlimited to landscape our backyard, as it was an unkept mess left by our home’s previous owners. The work done was fantastic, and now we actually enjoy spending time on our back patio. The work included grading, drainage, expanding a concrete patio, building a retaining wall, relocating sprinklers, planting, and pine straw. Any concerns we had with the project were addressed and so far the company has stood by their work. For example, we had some initial plants which didn’t survive, but they came out and replaced them at no extra charge. We liked their work so much, we eventually hired them to landscape our front yard, partially shown in the photos.

Patrick and his team are outstanding. Not only do they have deep knowledge of the correct species of plant material and turf to exceed your expectations for your situation, but their installers are also timely and professional. No mess was left, and they exceeded my expectations at a fair price. Most importantly, Landscapes Unlimited is a company marked by integrity.

How do you choose a landscaper in Augusta?
Start by naming the actual problem. A lawn that looks thin may need nutrients, better drainage, less shade or a turf choice suited to Augusta, not simply more mowing. A soggy corner may need grading or a drainage system, while a bare construction site may need soil preparation before sod or planting.
Ask each company for a written scope that explains what will be done, what materials are included, how debris will be handled and what maintenance follows installation. For recurring lawn care, ask about mowing height, edging, trimming, weed control and the schedule during Augusta’s growing season. If irrigation is involved, confirm who checks coverage and whether the controller is adjusted for rainfall.
| Project need | Questions to ask | Details to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Lawn maintenance | How often will mowing, edging and trimming occur? | Service schedule, mowing height, clippings and debris removal |
| New sod or planting | How will the soil be prepared? | Soil amendment, grading, watering and establishment period |
| Drainage work | Where will water be redirected? | Slope, discharge point, permits if needed and cleanup |
| Concrete landscape features | What base and reinforcement will be used? | Dimensions, finish, curing time and access to the site |
| Full landscape installation | Who handles design, materials and installation? | Plant list, irrigation, warranty terms and change orders |
Look at the contract before work begins, especially for deposits, payment stages, plant replacement, warranty limits and weather delays. Augusta’s clay can stay sticky after rain and harden after dry weather, so a schedule that ignores soil conditions is not much of a schedule.
Finally, make sure the company’s strongest service matches your job. A lawn maintenance provider may be the right fit for regular turf care, while drainage, concrete or a complete landscape installation may require a different scope and crew. The cheapest line on a page can become the most expensive hole in the yard.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best grass for an Augusta, Georgia lawn?
Warm-season grasses are generally suited to Augusta’s hot summers, but the right choice depends on sun, shade, drainage, soil preparation and how much maintenance the property can handle. Ask a local landscaper to inspect the site before choosing seed, sod or plugs.
How much does landscaping cost in Augusta, Georgia?
Pricing depends on the size of the yard, labor, grading, soil work, plants, sod, drainage and materials. Request a written estimate that separates preparation, installation and recurring maintenance so the real scope is clear.
How do I fix standing water in my Augusta yard?
First identify whether the cause is compacted clay, a low area, a blocked outlet or roof and surface runoff. A landscaper may recommend regrading, a swale, a drain or another controlled discharge method, but the water must have somewhere appropriate to go.
When should I plant or install landscaping in Augusta?
Fall and spring are usually easier planting periods because temperatures are milder, while summer installation requires careful watering and scheduling. Lawn and drainage work can depend more on soil moisture, since wet clay can smear and compact instead of accepting preparation.
